Carlo Ancelotti has confirmed that Luka Modric is fit to face Manchester City on Tuesday. After the Croatian played as a substitute in his last football game against Osasuna.

Real Madrid coach Carlo Ancelotti has confirmed that. Croatian midfielder Luka Modric is ready to face Manchester City in the Champions League. Tuesday’s semi-final first leg after the 37-year-old suffered a thigh injury. That forced him to miss three games in late April. And came on as a late substitute in the 2-1 win over Osasuna in the final of the Copa del Rey on Saturday.

‘He’s fine, he’ll play tomorrow.’

Ancelotti said of Modric.

When asked how he would deploy his troops into the field. The Italian replied: ‘Modric and the other two (in midfield) (Eduardo) Camavinga played wing-back without the ball, with the ball. He changed and moved to central midfield.’

‘Sometimes he plays between the lines. He’s not a full-back who carries the ball forward from the outside. We have Vinicius who is quite dangerous. He is only full-back when we don’t have the ball.’

Asked about Erling Haaland, who has netted 51 goals for City this season. Ancelotti was aware of Haaland’s threat. But insisted City weren’t just good at strikers. Norwegians only

‘He’s very dangerous. He’s unbelievably impressive when it comes to scoring goals, that’s clear.’

‘Talking about Haaland doesn’t just mean talking about one player. UFABET  But also for teams that play offensively and have a lot of ideas. Our game plan is not just to stop Haaland, but to stop a team that seems unstoppable. But I think it’s possible for us. We can win.’

When asked if City had changed their style of play with Haaland in the squad, the Italian replied: ‘Now they are more perfect. Last year they had a very dangerous striker like Gabriel Jesus but he is very different from Haaland now they can play long ball games.’

‘In a lot of games that gave them an advantage. That doesn’t mean they changed their style. They defend well. and hold the ball well’

‘Our game plan is not just to stop one player. It’s to stop the whole team. Especially when they get the ball, Haaland is very important. But focusing on him alone can mean forgetting about the other players.’
